Abstract:
Human Resource Development is concerned with the development of employee competencies, as to make them more functional and productive. Employee development is a joint initiative of the employee as well as the employer to upgrade the existing skills and knowledge of an individual. A modest attempt has been made in this paper to present the findings of the HRD climate and Employee Development survey conducted in twenty one hospitals in Bengaluru city. The results shows that the overall HRD Climate is positive and the relationship between Employee development and HRD Climate is satisfactory in the healthcare organisations studied.
